Wedding Flowers

Flowers, the symbol of new life and fertility, is indispensable to the bridal experience. It is a delight and luxury that lends itself to the joyous occasion when flowers are in blooms and the air is perfumed by that which is pure and sweet. The bride marches in with a refreshing bouquet and she becomes the essence and fragrance of beauty itself.

Red roses with ivy and hypericum berries

Red roses with ivy and hypericum berries. This small posy is good for color. The leaves enhance the red effectively while the berries add a touch of textural contrast and a sense of playfulness to the character of the bouquet.

Brown roses with bupleurum and twine

Brown roses with bupleurum and twine. A bouquet with a matured and reticent character, the subtle color of the roses is well contrasted with the use of a lively green. The twine is added so the combination hints of a wild and edged side.

Orange-yellow tulips with wild flowers

Orange-yellow tulips with wild flowers. This simple bouquet is very popular. The color is extremely vibrant and the use of bubbly berries is in sync with the unique shape of the tulip. Incidentally, a different color tulip will need its complementary set of greens as suitable to its character.

Sunflowers mini with achillea, wax and exotic greens

Sunflowers mini with achillea, wax and exotic greens. A bold and striking combination, this bouquet is all about character and color. The strong form of the sunflower is matched with the use of long, tapered leaves. It is a combination suitable for those into the unique and experimental.

Phalaenopsis Orchid with hypericum and ivy

Phalaenopsis Orchid with hypericum and ivy. The queen of all orchids is the phalaenopsis, queen because of its whiteness and perfect complexion. It has a sense of presence and requires no other flowers except leaves and berries. The tear-drop arrangement adds lush and flow to the elegant bouquet. However the size of the bouquet must be proportionate to the height of the bride.

Exotic Flowers 1

Campanula, Lathyrus, Narcissus and Alstroemeria.

With any mix of unusual flowers, color combination is most important, followed by form and shape of the flowers. This combination of pink and purple is therefore very sweet and it needs just a little yellow and an occasional white. All the flowers here have the same sense of full, soft petals and these all add to the gentleness and overall sweet character of the bouquet.

Exotic Flowers 2

Brassica, Nerine and wild flowers. This is a small, pretty and very unconventional bouquet. The brassica looks like a green rose and is surrounded by shocking pink nerines and wild flowers. It has a fun-loving and lively character that is almost cute, without being wild.
