hi BBIguana,
thanks for the tip about the Dbs discount, yeah, I must really go down to see this legendary shirley..ahaha its a pity that I'm leaving to Perth next week, so I'll only be able to go down in Oct. Hope the DBS deal will still be on then..eheh.. btw, as I was checking out the Flamingo website for like the hundredth time!ahah.. i realise that I like the work of montage studios, did any of you get a photographer from Montage Studios? If so, can tell me about the experience?
Which are your recommended photographers for Flamingo ah? I am quite quite keen on them liao! 
and, i did join the facebook grp already, but cant seem to find the photos?

Thanks for the compliments! the halter one is a MTM gown and the tube one is a OTR gown.. paid $30 for alteration and $30 for dry-cleaning. |

hi gals... i'm pretty inactive recently too, super bz, just got off from work, tiredz... just went down to confirm my EG design over the past few weekends, think i'm super indecisive, can't decide on the design / material / colour etc, luckily Shirley was patient enough to let us take our time n look through the sample materials, hehe =p

girls, I'm happily married!! just wanna let all undecided BTB know the good service they can expect from Flamingo.
firstly really want to thank Shirley for altering a CS I bought from another shop for FREE. really appreciate that.
Shirley also made me a stunning evening gown, just as i described to her... made me feel like a princess!
although I didn't MTM the wedding gown, i really liked the design too.
i also like the bouquets that Shirley did for my PS and AD.
Shirley also allowed me to return my wedding gown 3 wks after my wedding cos i went for honeymoon straight after wedding. really appreciate her flexibility.
Shirley also lent my mum some costume jewellery to match her outfit at no extra cost.
Although there is room for improvement in the hair-do and make-up. Would've preferred fake lashes although Shirley felt that I didn't need them..
Nonetheless I'm a satisfied Flamingo bride. Didn't pay any extras at all. Only "downside" is you only get to wear two dresses, your WG & EG... but if you are a BTB that is looking for many outfits, Flamingo wouldn't be your type of BS anyway.
Encourage all undecided BTBs to drop by Flamingo to look see for yourself! |

phew, just sorta completed my gowns fitting, one more thing off the checklist.. getting married is really quite tiring.. esp when i'm a super indecisive bride.. but got to say that HTB n myself are really bery happi with the service n designs so far =)
btw, just one thing i realise fr being the "sis" at another's fren's wedding yest.. always find a chance to try out the "look" tat you want b4 the PS / AD.. I opted for thicker make-up w long n thick fake eye lashes for the dinner make-up.. ended up my bf bugging me the entire nite abt how unsuitable this look is for me.. haizz... |

just had my ROM and PS [really tiring.. =p], special thanks to Shirley for making my make-up as natural as she could.. lending me the ear rings and ring pillow when I cun find any suitable ones.. and most importantly, for her pretty gowns! =) |

yup, we top up for the man suit cuz we wanted a different colour other than black / blue.. i separately bought a black suit for hubby outside in order to have more variety for him, cuz i dun want him to feel neglected w the greater emphasis usu placed on brides for wedding preps.. =D |

My AD is on 25 Oct 09. Going for my PS at end Mar. So excited. Will be seeing my gown on Mon. The tailor quite particular, go all out to make sure my hubby suit really fit. Though Flamingo package is higher than the one-stop bridal, their service and workmanship are really good. |

How is your fitting? Still waiting for my PS pics so that can show you all. Haha...
I called Flamingo yesterday to check the rates for makeup for mum on AD. Shirley's assistant recognised my voice and name. Wow... impressed. The one-stop bridal shop only remember customer by invoice number, don't think they even bother to remember my name. Flamingo service is really good! |

I just have my wedding last month. I would give Flamingo 2 thumbs up. I like the gown which Shirley did for me. Also they are willing to help me prepare a pair of earring when I cannot find one to match my EG. |

Hihi, me signed up with Flamingo last Dec. "Worked" with Shirely in Feb to choose my gowns and was v pleased with her sincerity. Her assistant was friendly and helpful too! To sum up my experience thus far, the Service @ Flamingo is really great! |

I'm also not taking photography so you can take up a package with Shirley without photography. I signed up more than a year ago, so not so sure how much the basic package costs currently. Flamingo has a list of photographers they can recommend so you can use them if you like :-) |

Wow, you ladies are right... Flamingo is really a nice place. I went to their new shop at Duxton, the interior is lovely. Although a bit small, the feeling is cosy. Shirley is very friendly and approachable, feel really comfortable with her.
But sadly, I might not be able to sign with them because there are some things I need in a wedding package that they don't provide... sigh. Would have love to be with this BS. The gowns are so lovely!
Anyway, just want to let you all know (and ladies who might be considering Flamingo), this is a very good choice. |
