Hi Elbarc, I staying at rainbow hotel. The hotel is clean and the service is good, maybe we are luckily as there are some bad comment on this hotel, but overall we are very satisfied. I booked jetstar airline as I did not know that we need to carried our gown to taiwan in the first place. We have exceed our baggage limit when we are coming back to sg and need to pay TWD30000. |

TWD 30000 is about SGD 1322. that is really alot le... how many KG u exceeded? roughly how heavy are the gowns? cos Im intending to take Jetstar too. |

hi bubble, sorry my typo error is TWD3000, around $150, our baggage exceed 5kg, as we bought quite a lots of pineapple pastry and sun biscuit. My 3 gowns weight around 28kg including 2 luggage before we go to taiwan and come back 45kg. So it better to carry light to taiwan. |

We intend to go to a farm to take our photoshoot. This farm you need to pay TWD800 entrance fee. My Finance went in to take a look first and decide not to go in as there not much flowers. So, we went to a church, a place (i not too sure where, should be around Danshui as we just let louise to decide) and sea. The weather was very cold and raining so we took only 2-3 hours outside to take our photoshoot. The rest of the day we took our photoshoot in the studio. If you took a coordinator with you, you will be going more than 3 places for outdoor if I'm not wrong. |

elbarc, the namecard shows the Taipei branch address to be 台北市中山北路三段.
did anyone stay at Neijiang Hotel, recommended by JWN? i've read reviews that it is cheap and value for money. planning to stay there when i go for PS in March. |

Hi Elbarc, the bride shop is at 台北市中山北路三段.It better for you to take cab when you go there first as you need to walk quite a while from the train station to the bride shop and you need to carry your gowns. If you are taking the train, you need to stop at Minquan W. Rd. station (民權西路). |

Hi gals,
my coordinator said need to go to the boutique and meet the PG for discussion on the day we reach taiwan and deposit the gowns, then the following day will be photoshoot liao.
any idea wat time does JWN boutique close?
the jetstar only touch down abt 630pm. afraid not able to rush there in time to meet the PG for discussion. |

bubble: they usually close around 10...not to worry about not able to rush there in time..I also took jetstar n the arrival was early..I reach Taipei airport ard 615pm..n took the express bus to JWN, very fast..we reach there ard 8pm..the bus stop is juz 5mins walk away from JWN.. |

Hi there,i was not told that we need to bring our gowns to TP ourselves. When i signed up the package with JWN, the coordinator told me they will bring the gowns over to TP... |

Hi all,
I've received a copy of my PS soft copy, totally unedited!! So raw that I can even see the stains on the gown ;/

Very happy to b a JULIA bride. Every pc of my gowns wwre sang with high praises. even Kua is the prettiest. My makeup artiste is sandy chen. Now all my friends want to have their makeup done by her. Overall, very Satisfied with JULIA. |

My MUA for TW PS was done by Sammi and KaiLing. There were 3 other couples taking their PS when I did mine and I must say the MUAs all did a great job =)

Hey gers!
I just went to Julia to try my PS gowns.. finally decide all 3 after 1.5 hours... super tired now... n it's time to slim down b4 my PS in June..
Just like to check with u all if any1 stayed at You Chun Hotel? Is it nice?
And any1 knows where is the PS place where there's this windmill and another place tat look like greece - aegean sea?

i recently signed the package with julia, anyone know how much they usually charge for metalic finishing for the photo album. We had the local package at 5k plus not sure if tats the norm market price for local package. Hope someone can advice. : P |

Hi all BTB,
I just went down to JWN today, I also so tempted to sign up their package because I fancy one of their latest design gown OTR, but sad to say, it was out of my budget. They quoted me $4988 if I want computer digital effect album. However, I must say their gowns are of good quality and workmanship. I saw the photography skill of Ah liang, quite not bad.

Hi everyone,
i am back fr the PS in Taipei, PS on 2nd Mar.. weather was ok, not much sun. worried that the photos might not be so nice without blue sky =(
anyways, my PG is Louis, his assistant Ah Hong and my MUA is WanRu, MUA to follow out is Kelly.
Am satisfied with all... all nice people.
We get along well with Louis and he's very engaging and spontaneous. During the discussion, he suggested using negatives though we can opt for digital. But there was sth he mentioned better abt negatives so my HTB picked negatives. Ah Hong is very helpful too. WanRu is quite good with hairstyles though I cant blame her for makeup cos I dun have a good complexion. I like Kelly alot!!! cos she's my MUA for the outdoor, and she's very attentive and nice. Her job was pretty much touch-up makeup, help me change to EG and change hairstyles for a variety of looks... But i like her a lot...
We didn't get to see the pictures cos its negatives, and just hopes that it turns out really pretty.

hi cloud,
yes need to pay extra NT5000 for the MUA to follow outdoor locations.
Louis (PG) did suggest that we can go to a farm, whereby they have a flower field (entrance NT800 for group) but after checking with owner, the field did not have flower bloom so we did not go.
the locations we went:
#Yangmingshan (image 1 in WG; straight out fr studio)
#a mini waterfall when coming down fr Yangmingshan (image 2 still in WG, change hairstyle+veil)
Danshui area:
#beach (image 2 & 3; 3 is without veil still in WG)
#a "memorial" place (image 4 in EG, change hairstyle)
#a pier (image 4).
it seems like the route is a typical pre-wed shoot route, cos we met many other couples along the stops.
pls do ur research if u wan to go certain places to capture their scenary, and communicate to PG beforehand so as to arrange the transport route, cos some places are very far away and need 40 min - 1 hr ride (take note to n fro journey)
the whole outdoor PS took abt 7 hrs which costs us NT3200 for transport. |

So not happy with the make-up artist Jane who freelances at JWN. I didn't get into a confrontation with her cos I don't want to do that on my AD but this is what she did:
She did a terrible job for the day make-up. My fringe was not neatly tucked to the side and there was not enough hairspray used so they keep falling down and I looked untidy in the photos taken in the morning. My fringe is long enough to be tucked to the side, just not enough hairspray used. And the make-up was too pale. There was no hint of blusher on my thickly powdered face.
Her evening look was fine but when she was spraying the hairspray for my fringe, she sprayed onto my forehead without shielding the rest of my face and eyes using any material or her hands. The hairspray got into my eye.
I don't know what's wrong with her. I didn't get into confrontation with her but I want to complain her to release my frustrations. In the morning, my parents actually gave her a red packet on my behalf, and I bought ampoules from her for the day and night make up instead of buying my own at a cheaper cost. She also did not show me any of the receipts for her taxi fares but I just pay for her transportation fees for the amount she claimed. And she did not try to do a better job. |

actually im getting some uneasy vibes from the MUA assigned by JWN for my AD...
Dorcas from Fabulosity.. She called me twice to check with me on my morning & evening time to get ready by, saying she's arranging her schedule. So I alrdy got the feeling she might be filling before&after slots in between my slot. Hence I feel insecure that she might be late and delay my entire planning.
Has anyone used her before? |
