Hi, I consulted Dr Wong and he said I am suitable for open incision method. And when I later ask him how many days of leave I need to take, he said 5 days for suture removal, so just take 7 days of leave will do. But I am rather confuse. Open incision means cutting out the fats and stitch back, right? Why he said suture removal? Suture is what?

Hi Gabrielle, to answer your question, my left eye's crease is not as high as my right's eye. In fact, if I look straight, you can hardly see my left eye's crease. So I'm going back to 'correct' it and to see whether it's possible to make my right eye bigger. Even before the surgery, my eyes are a bit asymmetrical, but I think that it's even more obvious after the surgery. So wanted to see if there's way to make it more balance.

To Purplevelvet: I think that suture basically means the thread. You need to remove it after the surgery.

Hi Purplevelvet,

open incision is the cut n remove fats method
but after cutting, he needs to sew ur wound up, so the stitches=sutures
so after 5days need to remove the stitches=sutures

hi all

just done the stitching method yesterday in china. feel so ugly and depressed. never did i expect seeing a monster face in the mirror. does anyone feel that way post-op?
i'm thinking of reversing it. does anyone have that kind of experience? if so does it leave any scar & when can i do it?
thanks!

hi rose,

i think its too early to reverse it. Y not wait for awhile to let ur eyes to heal. maybe when its less swollen, it will turn one nice.. relax and take this chance to rest at home.

cheers!

dear all,

i've just reversed it today! yet i feel so happy knowing my eyes back. eventhough there are some bruises, scars and can't close my lid fully yet.

a piece of advice to those who want to have double eyelid surgery or suture. please please have your heart ready for it.

fugu-san: thanks for your support but when i ask myself if i have beautiful eyes later on would i be happy? the answer is no. cause i feel that it's not me.

the most important things is that u're ready for a change then go for it. if not then don't.

I just had my revision surgery with Dr. Fok 5 days ago. After seeing me, he informed that he will operate on my left eye again, but left my right eye alone as the crease is already quite natural. I guessed the surgery can't really be called a revision surgery, as he didn't really do any revision, but simply remove more fats.
It's a really minor surgery. Overall, it took only around 10 minutes. I was give a LA, but no sedation. So I'm awake through out the surgery.
I was quite nervous. It hurts when he injected the LA, but still bearable. He waited for only like 10 secs and started the operation. I could feel him cutting and pulling on my eyelid The whole ordeal was over in like less than 10 minutes. After that I was allowed to go immediately home. I didn't require any medication at all. I didn't really feel any pain after the operation, just slight discomfort. My eye was quite swollen on the first two days, but it got better real quickly. Can't wait to see the finaly result.

Hi all,

I would highly recommend Dr Wong Saw Yeen @ gleneagles hospital. I've done my double eyelids with him 2 years ago, and i totally love my eyes. PPl commented that it look so natural that it doesn't look like it has undergone any plastic surgery. Dr wong has given me 10mm tapered cut for my eyes.

But i would like to advise those ppl who consider double eyelids surgery. Please do it together with epicantpplasty. Kan Yan Tou. The end result will be veri nice. Big round eyes. Dun be like me, regret tat why i did nt opt for the epi. argH!!!!

Tinking of going back to Dr wong for epi soon!

Hello Everyone,

I found 2 promotions now.

Freia Medical Aesthetics by Dr Harold Ma.
$988 includes first consultatio plus the following

# Pre-procedure counselling and consultation
# Assessment by doctor
# All surgical and professional fees, including consumables
# All routine medication
# Post-surgical routine follow-up

The other $1388 at TLC Clinic. Read the website, am very confidence thet are good as many who did theirs at other clinics goes to them for correction.

But price wise, $988 is really good. Pay instalement. $50 per month versus $115 per month at TLC

Anyone got feedback on Freida Clinc?

Meaning of Epicantpplasty is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epicanthoplasty

May leave permanent scars.

For your info, Double eyelids got 2 type - scarless is with sutures in permanent, the other is incision ( cut skin ). People with too much fats in the lids are not suitable for sutures type. As the line will not stay.

Hi,

Have anyone done double eyelid surgery + epicanthoplasty (widening inner eyes) + Lateral Canthopexy (widening of outer eyes)?

It seems like surgeries on epicanthoplasty and canthopexy are not common in SG.

Found these 2 very famous clinics in Korea that provide such services.

BK Clinic: http://english.bkdy.co.kr/photo/photoList.asp?cate=doubleeye

Oz Clinic:
http://drpark.co.kr/eng/info01.htm

Have anyone done their eyes surgery there?

My friend sees Dr Colin Tham at asia health partners. She said her double eyelid surgery was very easy, swelling lasting max of 1 week. results very nice. i am considering now to do eye bag surgery removal with him... just hesitant to find out how much would swelling be.. does anyone know? He quoted me package of $3488... all the post checkups and meds included. Not too bad i feel, worth it since it is more complicated than double eyelid...

Hello!

Ok, i need advice from anyone who has done double eyelid in Singapore or Korea. I've actually made up my mind to go Korea for the surgery, but my parents are having second thoughts of me doing the surgery overseas, they are afraid of the complications or they dont speak eng etc ...

& expects me to do it in singapore instead. But i have no idea which surgeon is better & i am afraid the skills of the surgeons in sg is not good enough and hence i might not achieve the desired outcome.

So it will be helpful if anyone can help me out here

Hi chia chua,

If do in sg, maybe u can consider dr Wong from Glenneagles. Heard that he did fann and Felicia eyelid. I enquired from him the price before. It's btw $2.5k to $3k.

For korea, u can consider dr park from Oz clinic. I have booked my flight to get it done from him. I feel that Korean surgeron are more skilled since so many Koreans got their eyelid done. It is also cheaper.

Hai Pattylee,

Have you done the eyebag removal with dr Colin?
I'm thinking of doing with him to probably mid of june. Can you tell me how he did yours, are you satisfied?
